I have decided to reboot (again) my small corner of the internet, this blog, and call it Liturgy & Luchadors.

Yes, perhaps I am a closet professional wrestling fan, but I also think it speaks to the stage of life that I find myself in.

It's about that messy and sacred process of rebuilding a life of purpose, presence, and peace.

It's about what happens after the fallout—when you’re rebuilding your faith from the ground up, healing relationships, learning to care for yourself, and wrestling to find joy in everyday things again.

It's about my experiences with familial emotional and spiritual abuse, grief, mental health, faith and doubt.

And finally, it's about my family and the hobbies I enjoy —whether it be reading, movies, podcasts, photography, football, Linux/*BSD and OSINT.

As it is being estimated that one-quarter of humanity is currently being affected by armed conflict, my prayer for this holiday season echoes the final verse of the Christmas hymn O Holy Night.

“Truly He taught us to love one another;

His law is love and His Gospel is Peace

Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother

And in His name, all oppression shall cease.”
